Wild-Force Pairs part 1 Red & Yellow True Spirits and great bonded Potential!

Updated: Oct 2, 2020

With September almost over and Fall setting in, I am removing the "SOR" caption from the titles. However I promised myself I would include these Wild Force pairs. I sincerely hope to get through them quickly because I am also eager to do my next unit which will feature Movie Reviews. All 5 movies will be included! More on those coming up soon. Also Please be sure to read or reread the previous articles on Cole and Taylor separately in conjunction with this one. These include "Thoughts on RMJ" "You can take the Boy out of the Jungle..." and "The "Earheart" of Wild Force." Now to launch on today's topic, I first want to say that I am in fact a big fan of both Dan Southworth and Eric Meyers and I don't mean to come off in any negative way towards his character. I also know that the only way we may ever have Cole in PR again is most likely with a replacement actor; (again please see Thoughts on RMJ.) However despite these factors and the fact I know this pairing is definitely not Canon, it is still one of my absolute favorites. I ship Cole and Taylor! Here are some reasons why; First off the Full episode-"Click, Click, Zoom." It is amazing how daring Cole gets in this episode, breaking his own rules to save Taylor's life. Plus this was the episode where they truly start geting along. Second the fact that we only ever saw Taylor share her Air Force Squadron picture with Cole and no one else. Also the way Taylor pushed Cole to continue searching for his parents even when it looked hopeless that he'd find them. The fact that Taylor grabbed Cole at their graves during the team's intital discovery of them and even asked Cole to hold on to his hope then, no matter what else he discovered. Finally their ability to adapt to support each other in the field of battle is also an important element. These two fight so well together and have taken down lots of tough opponents. They're each formidable on their own as well but together Cole and Taylor are amazing!

Cole sometimes fights shirtless, Taylor has a good view point from my opinion. Of course considering how Taylor usually composes herself it wouldn't fit her character that well for her to be "Checking him out!"; But it's easy to imagine! Cole and Taylor both show off much spirit and The Eagle and Lion Zords have that spirit too.

When the Time Force Rangers showed up to help battle the Mutorgs, that story is very much written to establish the bond of Taylor and Eric. They argue constantly but discover things they have in common as they get closer. It's no wonder there are many fans of Taylor and Eric. They never met again on the show, but it's still perfectly clear why that's considered the Canon pairing. Again I don't fully mean to sound disrespectful and if you like that pairing more it's fine. However I'm on the Cole and Taylor side! Cole and Taylor have an entire season of ups and downs. Eric and Taylor really do only have two episodes. I see more real development here too. After all when they first met, Taylor punched Cole in the gut! It was certainly unexpected from there that they would become such great allies. Still they have never failed to stand up and support one another as teammates or as friends. With just the right push I think Taylor would choose Cole over Eric and maybe really see the true potential of a future with Jungle boy. It's an unorthodox pairing to say the least but a fun one in many ways! It still remains one of my favorite Fanon pairs! Even despite more recent complications. Go Cole and Taylor! Lion power and Eagle power work great together in my book! Be sure not to miss the remaining pairing article for this year as it will be even more wild and that's a promise!

Cole and Taylor really look like a cute couple. I think it is a bit frustrating when couples split up, especially when the reason is only a change of the season. This again, is really well written. You are getting the hang of writing short, snappy posts with lots of clear information. You write adding real thought and insight into the characters, and how they develop over the episodes. Great job! Thanks.
