This marks the first article of the year 2020. Officially this blog site is still new in many ways. I regret that certain personal events kept me from doing more articles in the later part of 2019. I hope to be more attentive in the future. Anyways for now let's have some fun, how about that? Today I am adding a tribute to one of my favorite Yellow Power Rangers. Taylor Earheart from Wild-Force. Taylor was the first recruit chosen by Princess Shayla and the Wild Zords. In the second episode it is revealed by Alyssa in a talk with Cole how Taylor has already been a Ranger for over a year by that point. This would suggest that she was fighting against the Orgs even while the Time Force team was battling Ransik in the previous season. This makes her among the Rangers who have had their powers for the longest time. However what really defines Taylor is her development over the course of the series. Inspired by the legend of the Animarium, and by her own love of flying, she joined the Air Force at a young age. She even achieved the rank of Lieutenant. Her troops knew she was really tough but they respected her. The Yellow Eagle zord guided her to the Animarium sensing the goodness in her heart. She becomes The Yellow Ranger and also proudly screams "Soaring Eagle" representing her animal spirit. She also became the protector of the Bear Crystals belonging to the Black Bear and Polar Bear zords. Although when these zords are used in battle the Crystals are used by Max and Alyssa. Taylor earned the Bear Zords' trust in the Wild-Force episode "The Bear Necessities".
Taylor is often very protective of herself and likes to do things her way. However I like to think the bond that was formed by Taylor and Cole helped her open up more and see that it's good to let others in and that she may need help at times. Cole stated after getting to know taylor well that he really admired her confidence. As I stated in my Cole article last year, I am a Cole and Taylor shipper. Of course I have nothing against the Eric and Taylor Pairing, but they really only interacted in the team-up event. That's just not a lot to go on. Alright let's get back to the main topic. Taylor is usually the one who likes to call Max "a kid" and she's the one to remind Danny to focus on the task at hand. Also Cole and Taylor bicker sometimes. She gets along best with Alyssa. She hardly interacted with Merrick at all. She has terrific fighting moves. She is always very determined. She pushes everyone on the team to fight their very hardest in any situation. However yeah being around her fellow Rangers helped her embrace her softer side. She opened up and she realized that relying on her friends can often help turn the tide of battle. Taylor and Cole had many moments throughout the season and it's easy to see a strong friendship but there might be something deeper here hidden underneath the surface. It remains one of my top rated Red and Yellow pairings. Taylor constantly proves her incredible strength and her scene in the finale when they didn't have powers thanks to Master Org was truly Fantastic. Of course I just really like that Wild Force finale, so I always get excited to rewatch it. Taylor Earheart is played by Alyson Kiperman, now known as Alyson Kiperman Sullivan. She married Gary Sullivan in the year 2006. I have watched a couple interviews with her done on That Hashtag Show-a source I often use for Power Rangers news and events. She comes off very open and passionate about her character. Taylor Earheart rejoins the Air Force at the end of the season. I hope to offer many more exciting blog articles as the new year unfolds.
Hail to the foxy yellow ranger! Your writing is very clear, letting me know exactly what you think. I enjoy how clear your opinions are, highlighting your favorite parts. You are a talented writer, with a great memory for the details of each episode. What I like about this one is her animal spirits. Soaring Eagle is a great nickname for a pretty blonde. And now, I gotta fly! Call me Thirsty Vulture!
