This entry is dedicated to John Tui. The only actor to play two separate Sixth Rangers, which is why I like to refer to him as PR's 006. He's no James Bond really, although he has turned more than a few heads. As both Cruger and Daggeron, yes he did it in dog form too. Oh also he played an ape once. Anyways first let's do a role rundown. John Tui on Power Rangers four roles all together- 1- Anubis Doggie Cruger, Shadow Ranger and head of SPD, 2- Sergeant Sliverback Ape commander featured primarily in the SWAT 2-parter and again in the season finale, 3-Daggerron the Solarris Knight Co-mentor and special Ranger for Mystic Force, epic quote "I'd rather die with honor, then live without it!" and In Super Samurai he voiced the Monster known as Pestilox. Well done John Tui, Well done!!! 👍 Only as Daggeron will you able to show off that truly debonair smile of yours, but your glory still shines through even as an Alien. (little Note; I will be searching for a Pestilox picture, don't have one right now) Now let's discuss those heads he's turned shall we? The Girls! Isinia Cruger's lost love from the Planet Sirius is cute for a dog girl but you know I personally prefer the idea of the Hero finding new Love as opposed to returning to a old flame. Seriously the raw sexual tension between Doctor Kat Manx and Doggie Cruger was undeniable!! Daggeron was quite friendly with Madison, although I have to admit that pair is a tad creepy if you think about how he's from the ancient Wizards team and she's a teenager but hey if in you're to it go ahead and be into it. Last girl and a very strange one at that- Itassis. Well she's basically an egyptian spirit monster with a black face and strange powers but I have to admit she was kinda hot!
Anyways I thought Sergeant Sliverback was a cool character too. He kept the heroes well on their toes, during their Swat training. Also I'm glad he got to play a monster. However Cruger and Daggeron are the main characters I'll remember him for! Both Jack and Nick (the Red Rangers) really seamed to enjoy pissing off their mentors. However It was because of the lessons Cruger and Daggeron provided that shaped them into true heroes. Sometimes Jack and Nick also taught them a couple lessons as well. Cruger and Daggeron both deserve further discussion most likely in separate articles. John Tui is also known for doing movies, like the Second Hobbit film "Battle of the Five Armies" or Battleship (release year 2012) based off the game. So yeah keep up the good work John Tui. He was born on June 11th 1975. Still acting today!!! Cruger and Daggeron will both be featured here again. This was simply a dedication to John Tui!
What an articulate analysis of how Tui's characters developed, and their emotional interactions. This provides wonderful insight on how the rest of us ought to behave and interact.
