This tribute is for Jarrod. Jarrod was a very complex character. In the begining his frontal pride was building constantly. As a top Pai Zhua student, he boldly thought everything would work out for him and that he was one of the chosen few. His arrogance made him very aggressive in nature. He was mean and bossy. Dai Shi, could see this, and believed he had found someone he could easily manipulate. Jarrod lashes out against Casey, Master Mao watches. Casey shows abilities that the Master hadn't known about before this event. Casey becomes the newly selected protector of Dai Shi's remains, alongside the first two choices; Theo and Lilly. Jarrod interrupts the initiation, and releases Dai Shi. Dai Shi kills Master Mao. Master Mao becomes a spirit. Jarrod and Dai Shi form an alliance. Dai Shi uses Jarrod's power to transform himself over time. Dai Shi lulls Jarrod into believing that he is meant to be a part of the grand plan of the Dark Forces. The Rangers meet him as a enemy and over time both Theo and Lilly completely loose faith in him.
Jarrod never expected to find an new ally in Camile. Despite the fact that she had followed Dai Shi for thousands of years, Jarrod showed her a new side of herself. She began to believe she could do something different with her life. While Camile dealt with her issues, the Generals, and Phantom Beasts tried to influence Jarrod but they saw, they were losing him. It was Casey who ultimately saved him. In the process Casey earns his Master Stripe. Jarrod earns something special as well, his redemption. He discovers his true pride, the pride of a hero. Dai Shi is the real Villain of Jungle Fury, Jarrod was an unfortunate victim of manipulation and confusion. Jarrod joins the Rangers in the final fight and helps them defeat Dai Shi once and for all. Jarrod and Camile return to the Pai Zhua temple as beginner students at the end of the season. Jarrod is played by Bede Skinner. Geoff Dolan provides the voice of Dai Shi in both his spirit and monster forms. Jarrod is a true fighter for good, He just needed help to find the hero within him. It's compelling events and complex characters like both Jarrod & Dai Shi, that make Jungle Fury a whole lot of fun.
