An Epic bond of memories and Love SOR chapter 3

For the first time on this blog today We will be focusing on a Cannon Couple! Lightspeed Rescue's Carter and Dana is Cannon. It was intended on the show. Not all of the Cannon pairs work for me, but this is one I do like. Carter's dedication and courage mixes quite well with Dana's stern Resolve and her eagerness to help others. Their bond is energetic and powerful, not sappy like the Cannon Pairs that turn me off. From when Dana first sees Carter put his life on the line to save a young girl from a burning building, you can tell she's already very curious about him. Carter gets the girl out just in time and Dana comes right in to help. Carter's willingness to go with Dana after the young girl rides away on an ambulance, also demonstrates that Carter has an open mind and is willing to face new dangers as they arise. Kelsey, Chad, and Joel don't intially believe Captain Mitchell's story but Carter does and Dana immediately reacts. Dana stands by Carter's side on the battlefield and always cares for him in tough situations. She nearly lost it after the scene with Demonite, when Carter exploded the two of them. Both of them have a strong sense of selflessness. They both use their skills to help others in need and both want Mariner Bay to be a safer city. They work well together and trust each other strongly.

The turning point for them on TV was the episode "The Last Ranger" which was a clip show episode. Carter, Chad, Kelsey, and Joel all had memories stolen by a monster and Ms. Fairweather uses a machine to help them regain their memories. However the machine overloades and Carter still can't remember being the Red Ranger. However when he sees Dana in trouble, memories of the two of them together help him break Memorase's spell. This basically states that his relationship with Dana is even more important to him than being a Ranger. Though they didn't do anything to really seal the deal after that fight most fans could tell their bond was now even stronger. Of course there's also the big question what does Captain Mitchell think of this? Since he is Dana's father and the man who made them teammates. Well they never addressed it on the show but I can imagine him being very supportive. In "A Face from the Past" he reveals that he's watched over Carter ever since rescuing him from the fire as a young boy. He knew Carter was the ideal candidate for Red Ranger. His belief in Carter's spirit and his appreciation of his skills, shows that he sees Carter almost like a second son. He has already shown that despite how he still does see Dana as his little girl, he strongly believes in her skills as a Ranger and a paramedic. He trusts Dana very strongly but has deceived her a few times. No matter what he strongly believes in every one of them, so yeah I think he would support them. Carter is played by Sean CW Johnson, Dana is played by Allison Macinnis, and Captain Mitchell is played by Ron Rogge. In the Time Force team-up episode Dana is the first friend Carter calls, so he clearly thinks of her fondly. Unfortunately after that we didn't see them again for a long time. However They do show up working side by side in the Super Megaforce event "Legendary Battle." They are the first classic Rangers to appear in this event and their entrance is one of the best scenes of the story. Also the way their coordinations are shown off, shows they have been working together a long time. So they probably got together before or after "Time for Lightspeed". Carter and Dana make a wonderful pair in my book, and their chemistry clicks very well. That's an amazing Red and Pink duo! The classic Mighty Morphin pairs are coming up next!

I like the last photo of the Red and Pink Rangers together. Your writing is great and logical. How Dana's father thinks of the Red Ranger like a son also is cool. Even though fathers are often protective of their daughters, I think you answered your question well about what he thinks of their being a couple for SOR.
